Dental implants are artificial teeth that are inserted into the jawbone to replace missing natural teeth. They closely mimic the look and feel of natural teeth, making them an attractive alternative to conventional dentures.
Depending on the number of teeth to be replaced, one or more dental implants may need to be placed, and this will be discussed during your consultation. They can even be used to hold in full dentures to improve stability and patient comfort.
Implant placement will normally comprise of 3 appointments, where the artificial root will be inserted into the jaw bone and the porcelain or acrylic prosthesis then attached. After the process is complete, patients will leave with a tooth, or teeth, that look and feel real.
Our implant surgeon Dr Vandana Budhwar is Melbourne University trained and only we use the highest quality Swiss made Straumann components which are warrantied for a lifetime meaning if the implant fails, it will be replaced for free.*
All implants are placed according to ADA guidelines to ensure a successful outcome
* Warranty may be voided if the patient contributed to the implant failure like taking up smoking, poor oral hygiene etc.
